I am therefore very pleased to announce that, based on our report to the Federal Government's Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency (EOWA) in September last year we have now been officially advised that Wiley Australia has again been awarded the prestigious Employer of Choice citation for 2008. We have won this award each consecutive year since its inception in 2001.

Over 3,000 medium-sized and large Australian companies are obligated under federal legislation to report to EOWA every year on their EO programs. This past year another six prerequisites were added to the evaluation process. The result was that 99 organisations across Australia were awarded this special citation, down from 131 last year. Wiley has always been the only publishing company in Australia to be included in this best-practice listing - a record that affords us significant advantage in the battle to attract and retain a talented workforce.
