- A new chapter (15) on evaluating strategies has been added to the
Australasian edition.
- All chapter opening cases are new to the Australasian edition or are
substantially revised and reflect companies that students in Australasia
can identify with.
- All of the Strategy in Action boxes are also either completely
new or substantially revised. These boxes have also focused on Australasian
or global companies and strategic management issues.
- Other features from the US edition that are retained include: chapter
summary; discussion questions; Practicing Strategic Management,
which includes small-group exercise, strategic management project, article
file, and exploring the web.
- Dell Computer Running Case. Beginning in chapter one and continuing
in subsequent chapters of the text, students are introduced to different
aspects of Dell's strategy and performance, relating to the material
covered in the corresponding chapter. By following this company throughout
the chapters, students will get a better sense of the interrelatedness
of the content across chapters.
- High Quality Case Studies. This Australasian edition offers
a first-rate selection of large case studies, covering small, medium,
and large companies, both domestic and international. Each case study
is accompanied by extensive lecturer teaching notes. As with the American
version, these case studies are placed at the back of the textbook.
