Elaine Lawrence is a senior lecturer in the Department of Computer Systems, faculty of Information Technology, at University of Technology, Sydney. She has extensive experience in the ecommerce and networking areas and is well known through her consultancy and research activities.

Stephen Newton is a partner at eStrategies, a private consultancy firm that specialises in providing IT and ebusiness strategy, planning and project management. He has completed a Masters in Computer Science, specialising in ecommerce at the University of Technology, Sydney.

Brian Corbitt is Professor of Management Information Systems and Head of School of Management of Information Systems at Deakin University. His research specialisations are in ecommerce policy and in the implementation of strategic systems in organisations utilising e-business systems. Applications in South-East Asia, Australia and New Zealand provide the focus for this research.

John Lawrence is a barrister practising in the areas of electronic commerce, environmental and planning laws, construction and building disputes, and contract law. He is a Registered Legal Practitioner, New South Wales, and a member of the New South Wales Bar Association; the Institute of Engineers, Australia; and the Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators, Australia.

Stephen Dann is a professional consultant specialising in Internet marketing and consumer behaviour strategies. Stephen has spent considerable time researching consumer behaviour and its application in the adoption of new communication technologies such as the Internet, the development of cybercommunities and its impact on risk perception, and the role of government in marketing. His involvement in the Internet ranges from his personal domain (www.stephendann.com) through to active participation in a number of cybercommunities.

Theerasak Thanasankit earned his PhD in Management Information Systems from the University of Melbourne. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in the School of Information Management and Systems at Monash University, Australia. Dr Thanasankit has taught at many universities in Australia, New Zealand and Thailand. His research focuses on the influence of indigenous cultures and values on the use, adoption and implementation of information systems, especially in e-commerce. Dr Thanasankit also conducts research in requirements engineering and creativity and IT policy.
