MICROGRAPH

Microeconomics 2e contains the solid and complete content core of the first edition, along with many revisions, updates and enhancements that reflect our dynamic times. The book covers the discipline in an orderly progression, but allows for parts and/or chapters to be used out of sequence at the instructor’s prerogative. However, we strongly suggest using chapters 1 and 2 (part 1) in sequence to set the context for the course.

Parts 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 offer the basic building blocks for understanding organisational behaviour — the study of individuals, groups, organisations, processes and dynamics, respectively. Each contains a solid coverage of the basic theories and concepts of organisational behaviour, along with many examples and guidelines to emphasise their practical application in the twenty-first century workplace.

Changes and updates

  • The second edition firmly situates management and organisational practices within a context of a global approach to management learning.
  • This edition has been streamlined. Chapters have been collapsed to provide an orderly progression, solid coverage of basic theories, and guidelines for practical application.
  • All the mini case studies in ‘OB in action’, ‘World digest’ and ‘Ethical perspective’ are new, reflecting the dynamism of the subject.
  • New illustrative examples have been added.
  • The case studies at the end of the book have been streamlined, with new case studies added.
  • Contemporary local research is embedded in the text.
